Sutherland Estate is one of the most elevated vineyards in the Dixons Creek Valley, nestled in the southern slopes of Great Dividing Range. 10 acres planted on largely undisturbed bushland, on red volcanic soils. These factors contribute cooling effects
in the vineyard resulting in wines with delicate aromatics and elegance. Released under our 'Cré' label, a reflection of the unique terriors of the Yarra Valley.
With the quality of the fruit being so high we decided to make this without the use of SO2. Handpicked then whole bunch pressed straight to old oak. Élevage on full ferment lees for 6 months with barrels topped weekly.
Pear, nectarine and apricots on the fruit profile with a moreish sherbert acidity, cashew creaminess, a stoney minerality and chalk like texture.
